This year’s MWC Las Vegas, hosted by GSMA and CTIA, brought together innovators and policy officials shaping the future of connectivity. Industry leaders gathered to explore how spectrum, 5G, and next-generation infrastructure are enabling smarter, more secure networks — a mission central to NextNav’s work in resilient, terrestrial 3D PNT.
At the NextNav booth, attendees experienced how our technologies are redefining what’s possible in positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT). From live demonstrations of NextNav 3D to discussions around our path to commercializing 5G-powered 3D PNT, visitors saw firsthand how we’re delivering scalable, terrestrial solutions that complement GPS, strengthen critical infrastructure, and power Nation-Critical, Life-Critical, and Business-Critical applications.

Our booth stations showcased real-world applications — from life-critical public safety use cases to business-critical applications with our global partner, Metcom. A highlight of the week was a fireside chat with MetCom President Yoshioki Chika and NextNav CEO Mariam Sorond discussing our partnership and the importance of bringing accurate, vertical location to global markets, including Japan.

Together, they emphasized the growing global demand for high-precision PNT and the importance of cross-industry collaboration in building a more secure and connected world.
NextNav also hosted a Happy Hour at our booth, bringing together partners, colleagues, and new connections across the ecosystem. The event provided an opportunity to continue important conversations, celebrating collaboration and innovation across public safety, telecommunications, government sectors, and beyond.

Throughout MWC Vegas, one theme resonated across panels, roundtables, and social events — the need to use spectrum efficiently and advance U.S. leadership in wireless innovation. As CTIA President Ajit Pai put it, “History tells us that when America leads in wireless, it doesn’t just change industry, it changes the world.”

That vision aligns closely with NextNav’s mission to strengthen U.S. infrastructure through resilient, next-generation PNT technologies that enable safety, security, and progress.
From live demos and technical milestones to meaningful conversations with the wireless industry, MWC Vegas 2025 underscored the urgency and opportunity to advance resilient PNT for a safer, more connected future.
As we carry this momentum forward, we remain focused on delivering Nation-Critical, Life-Critical, and Business-Critical solutions that keep people, industries, and infrastructure connected when it matters most. Stay tuned for more insights and highlights as we continue the momentum from Vegas and share what’s next for NextNav.
