TechCrunch: DOT evaluated 11 GPS replacements and found only one that worked across use cases

In January 2021, TechCrunch’s Danny Crichton wrote about NextNav’s performance in a landmark Department of Transportation study of GPS alternative technologies.

Crichton states that “NextNav came out furthest ahead according to the researchers, who stated that ‘All [Technology Readiness Level]-qualified vendors demonstrated at least some PNT performance of value, but only one vendor, NextNav, demonstrated in all applicable use case scenarios.'”
